The FirstNet mission is to deploy, operate, maintain, and improve the first high-speed, nationwide wireless broadband network dedicated to public safety. This reliable, highly secure, interoperable, and innovative public safety communications platform will bring 21st-century tools to public safety agencies and first responders, allowing them to get more information quickly and helping them to make faster and better decisions.

AT&T and the FirstNet team had the vision to feature these best-in-class hardware solutions that could be showcased and presented to our nation’s first responder entities throughout the entire country but to do it in a unique way. Thus the FirstNet Bronco Project was born.
The idea was simple: take 44 Ford Broncos, upfit the Broncos with the latest and greatest products and solutions from FirstNet partners, and show current and potential FirstNet customers what could be accomplished to support their teams, their mission, and their communities. All hardware and solutions showcased are commercially available. Agencies can now choose all or part of what is displayed for immediate deployment and implementation.
This includes push-to-talk (PTT) hardware, rugged computer systems, internal and external antenna systems, 4G/LTE routers and modems, and more.
